God’s Mercy Like Honey
I h dream the other night where I saw honey being poured out like short from heaven. I remember going up to this cascading waterfall and sticking my index finger into it and tasting it. I saw others kneeling in the flow allowing it to cover them completely. What was impressed upon me is that this is God’s mercy. Those kneeling under the flow in worship were experiencing Gods mercy to the fullest. In the dream I was not under the flow but instead was standing in front of it and merely put my finger in to taste it.
In the natural I can’t imagine being doused in a waterfall of honey as it would be a sticky mess. Yet in the dream God’s mercy is compared to honey. God’s mercy is sticky as is honey. Secondly, honey has no expiration. Honey is sweet as is God’s mercy.
Greetings in Christ, Tony. As an additional thought, honey has been well known for millennia as having major healing properties and health benefits.
Very true Stephanie. Thanks you!
Brother, this isn’t a coincidence. I hadn’t had a chance to read your blog post (or go much online lately.. due to helping my mother take care of my dying father at home) Well, the night before he died., I was led to give him two teaspoons of organic orange blossom honey.. He wouldn’t eat or drink anything, but he did willingly accept the honey.
At the time I gave him this honey as he lay in bed, it occurred to me that this was like God’s mercy. And through this illness that my father was enduring through before he died, the Lord, in His mercy had used this suffering to soften his heart. My Dad was a more loving person in the final year of his death., and I believe he accepted Christ into his heart in these final months. When we prayed, he joined in the prayers, and at the very end, I told him not to be afraid to go to Jesus.. that if we loved him, how much more does JESUS love him., and he will not turn him away if he is sincere in going to Him. My Dad died peacefully hours later. The last thing he put into his mouth was two teaspoons of honey.
What a testimony Lisa! Thank you for sharing this with me and posting it on my blog. My dad was lead to the Lord on his deathbed as well by my wife’s girlfriend. God is truly a merciful Father.
Amen,.. I can’t get over how much mercy and love He has.. our fathers saw it firsthand when after they left their bodies, they saw Him and the love in His eyes.., face to face. ♥
Amen Lisa
