Is It Just Me?
Is is just me or has anyone else noticed the many, “prophets” , out there on the blogosphere prophesying destruction and devastation to America? What I have not seen or seen very little of is the prophesying of God’s judgement on His church. The judgements coming upon America and upon the world for that matter will affect believers as well. Do you think it coincidence that the book of Revelation begins with Jesus judging the 7 churches with the words, ” I know your works”. I see, and this is my opinion, no love for the nation, i.e., America that they prophesy against. Contrast that with the prophet Moses discourse with the Lord when He was about to wipe out the nation of Israel.
Exo 32:30 — Exo 32:32 (NKJV Strong’s,)
Now it came to pass on the next day that Moses said to the people, “You have committed a great sin. So now I will go up to the Lord; perhaps I can make atonement for your sin.” Then Moses returned to the Lord and said, “Oh, these people have committed a great sin, and have made for themselves a god of gold! Yet now, if You will forgive their sin—but if not, I pray, blot me out of Your book which You have written.”
How many “prophets” prophesying death and destruction to America would be willing to say to the Lord if you’re going to blot out America from your book then blot me out as well. That is what standing in the gap is all about. The Lord seeks such individuals.
Ezekiel 22:30 (NKJV Strong’s,)
So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.
Make no mistake here regarding my posting. I am NOT saying that America will not undergo the Lord’s judgement. I am saying, however, that it seems that the prophets prophesying America’s demise are plentiful. Those willing to stand in the gap and intercede for the nation and beseech the Lord to forgive, it seems, are few. .
Very good thoughts Tony. I’ve noticed the same thing.
I wonder if the reason why citizens don’t spend time saving the States rather than prophesying destruction is because the Bible makes it fairly clear that the US will be destroyed. God only says one thing, and He rarely repents. If there was a chance of saving it, I’m sure He would do a Nineveh to save it. Perhaps He looked ahead and saw that was not possible.
Israel was probably a little different for Moses. He’d just spent his career investment saving this rag-tag little nation, a nation that Yahweh had saved to call His own.
Each revolution is different. Each time we need to look to the Creator again and ask what is possible and what His will is …and say that.
Where does it say in the Word of God that the United States will be destroyed. Can you quote the chapter and verse ? Secondly, God’s judgements are redemptive and not punitive. It’s His will that all would come to repentance.
It doesn’t mention the United States directly, but if you follow the world powers in Daniel and Revelation you will see the US rise and fall.
The sequence is Babylon, Media and Persia, Greece, Rome, Papal Rome, the USA, ?United Nations?, and then one of the former one last time.
These texts are found in Daniel 11:40-45, Revelation 13:11-14, and Revelation 17:7-18, especially verse 10.
If five have fallen in the sequence above, the one that is would be the United States and two more are to follow in quick succession.
But if they don’t come to repentance, the sequence continues as prophesied.
I’m not saying I want that, but I am saying that the US is nowhere near repentance. Redemptive also includes bringing forth what is next in order for redemption to move forward and reach its conclusion.
The United States was dedicated to the Lord upon its founding. The Lord hasn’t forgot that and the prayers of intercession for this nation offered up.
Find me Lord!
That is because ‘those” prophets are on the night watch not making a spectacle of themselves, but beseeching the Lord. It is time to come out of her and BE HER…rise up Bride and assemble together saints of the Lord. The word of the prophet for the individual is encouraging, comforting, and edifying…2 Chronicles 20: 20- giving 20/20 vision. There is no good thing ( the tree of he knowledge of good and evil) in the American church Revelations 18- it all dwells within the majesty of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (the tree of Life!).
Find me Lord!
Hear His voice for yourself- Jesus is the spirit of prophecy and he dwells on the inside of those who call Him Lord- we all have access! His word is not access denied, but “access granted!” Oh how He loves you Tony! What a gift of prophetic sight and vision…Praise the Lord. You cause my eyes to look more deeply into my own self and then my region, my nation asking the Father, “Which way to that ancient path?”
Find me Lord!
Amen!
Than you Darcy!!!! It’s good hearing from you again. I appreciate your encouraging words.
God tells those who care. God’s pending judgments on Sodom invoked the intercession from Abraham. Such is the call and the heart of the true prophets.
Appreciate the word.
Brian
Amen BT
Lest we forget: America’s ‘saving grace’ may be in having – at last – a President who is staunchly supportive of Israel.
I completely agree, Tony! I keep seeing, ‘Woe to you, America! You have heaped up yadayadayada’ ….. none of them read as valid to me, I think many of them are either giving expression to their own subconscious, or ‘channelling’ demons. America has helped far more people than it’s ever hurt, and I can think of plenty more places that would warrant brimstone if brimstone were coming!
It might be a disguised wish for importance on the part of the ‘visionaries.’ (as in; I once read someone saying: ‘It’s funny how so many people claim they were Hitler in a past life. They were never just the third stormtrooper on the right’.) 🙂
I don’t believe 99% of that stuff, and yes, it is all over the internet.
