My Dreams and Visions

Dreams and Visions

The Walls are Coming Down.

I’ll start this post off with a dream I had 4 years ago.

I had a dream  07/22/2013 and in the dream I was talking to a friend who was Catholic. There was a significance to the fact that he was Catholic, the first organized religion, and that I was talking to him in the dream because I was quoting from the Gospel of John in the dream where it says the following:

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
(Joh 1:14)

The word, “dwell” is from the Greek word, σκηνόω (skēnoō)

Thayer Definition:

1) to fix one’s tabernacle, have one’s tabernacle, abide (or live) in a tabernacle (or tent), tabernacle
2) to dwell

The next word is the word, “among”, and is from the Greek word, ἐν

Thayer Definition:
1) in, by, with etc.

Jesus Name, “Emmanuel” Means God with us. Jesus sent His Holy Spirit to be in us.

What I want to point out here is that Jesus is the temple and the temple was a tent and the tent moved in and among the people unlike Solomon’s temple which was stationary . The Word does not say that the Word became flesh and dwelt in a building. Instead it says that the Word became flesh and dwelt among the people. Unlike the temple made of stone where there was a division between sacred and secular made by the curtain, Jesus, the Son of God was accessible and sinners received mercy and when His flesh was torn so was the curtain thus eliminating the division that existed.
There’s a saying that says that the church began in Jerusalem as a fellowship; moved to Greece and became a philosophy, then to Rome where it became an institution, then to Europe where it became a culture and finally to America where it became an enterprise.

The simplicity of the gospel message and the life that Jesus preached has been so compromised that it hardly looks anything like the church of Acts where all had everything in common and no one had need because they were like a family they ate and drank together. They were the flesh and blood representation of the body of Christ. They acted in unity there were no such things as denominations which is another word for division. They were flesh and blood and they dwelt among the people of their day and they were not closed in by buildings. There were no buildings, in fact, the temple Jesus said would be torn down and not one stone would be left on top of another. Because a new temple, made without hands now housed the presence of the Lord and that temple was flesh and blood. The great commission was to go and tell and not come to church and hear my pastor. We bring the church wherever we go. It is not a place to go to but rather a description of what we are. We are the church.
1 John says the following:

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched–this we proclaim concerning the Word of life.
(1Jn 1:1)
Note that it says that we see it with our eyes and touch it with our hands. Church is to be experienced. It is relationships. It is fellowship.

If you think about it, the law was written on tablets of stone. The temple Solomon built was made of stone. The Lord said that the people’s hearts were made of stone.

When the law came down from the mountain, 3000 people died.

Then he said to them, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘Each man strap a sword to his side. Go back and forth through the camp from one end to the other, each killing his brother and friend and neighbor.’” The Levites did as Moses commanded, and that day about three thousand of the people died.
(Exo 32:27-28)

When the Holy Spirit came and the church was born. 3000 people were given life.

Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.
(Act 2:41)

The building made of stone represents the old covenant while the one made without hands represents the new.
We are the church and we are the building. I had a vision of this in March of 2010 :

1Pe 2:5 [Come] and, like living stones, be yourselves built(the stones are being fitted by the Lord one at a time. Care, forethought and divine purpose go into the placement of each stone. Each stone is just that, an individual stone with its own unique characteristics yet it is fitted and joined together by the Lord into His temple) [into] a spiritual house, for a holy (dedicated, consecrated) priesthood, to offer up [those] spiritual sacrifices [that are] acceptable and pleasing to God through Jesus Christ.( . We, although made up of individual stones, are a part of the corporate body, The Church of Jesus Christ, for it is only in the dynamic of covenant relationship with one another and with the Lord that true worship will be experienced. With that said, I saw in a vision, many people and as they gathered they became like living stones in the temple wall. The wall did not keep people out, instead, as people came to the living wall, they became part of it. The building, if you will, had walls created by people joining together to worship the Lord, however, the building had no roof. Instead, it’s covering was the glory of God and it was His glory spilling out over the walls, because the glory of God cannot be contained, that was drawing people.

A few days ago I had the following vision. In the vision I saw people packed tightly in a church praying fervently for revival. Note that they were praying for revival within the safety of the 4 walls of the building called church.  Then I saw the walls of the church fall and those praying inside were now exposed to the world. I did not get the sense in the vision  that the exposure was due to sin being exposed but rather their prayers being answered.

The key phrase is:

the Word became flesh and dwelt among the people

  1. Reblogged this on New Life in Christ Jesus and commented:
He who has an ear to hear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches…

  2. The Spirit of God is One and is the same among all people and folks.

    • True but not everyone listens to Him.

      • By this, there are several denominations.

      • The very word denomination means division. Christ is not divided so denominations are not of Him but out of the pit of hell. One faith One God One baptism.

      • Yes, the reason is divided.

      • Yes!
Religion as a rational process generates division. Any doctrinal or methodological divergence, any reason, there may be an ideological separation.
How a spiritual process of the soul should converge to the Light; if the option is the Light and not the darkness.
And the Spirit of Light belongs to God who is One and True.
Christian doctrine is the only one capable of reconciling physical, moral, intellectual, existential, metaphysical, and spiritual aspects, without contradiction; and sustains himself, before any person, in any place, in any situation and at any time.
        And this is my faith.

      • I believe in the simplicity of the gospel along with a demonstration of the Holy Spirit’s power so that one’s faith might not rest in man’s wisdom buy rather in God’s power.
