A Dream About A Battleship
I had a dream last night where I was on a battleship. I was an officer aboard this battleship but not its captain. I remember glancing upward and looking at the captain, whom I believe to be the Lord but could have been an Apostle. In any event i kmew that there was authority on the ship and a chain of command. I remember that the ship was in open waters and I did not see any land in sight. Waters can be indicative of people an example of this is found in Revelation, “Revelation 17:15
Then he said to me, “The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues”,.
I remember looking out over the bow of the ship which would be in line with my calling as a watchman. Additionally, I remember looking around the ship and seeing big guns. This was definitely not a ship on which one would take a pleasure cruise.
This dream fits in with the Gospel of John’s description of Jesus where he says the following:
The Word Becomes Flesh
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
Notice that it does not say that the Word became flesh and dwelt in a building but rather the Word became flesh and dwelt, i.e., “tented”, among us. The ship was in the water not in dry dock where it would have been useless.
The ship, was not for battling people but rather principalities and powers of darkness.
