Dreams and Visions

Catching Any Fish?

I saw a vision today of the inside of a church building complete with wooden pews. I saw people in the pews with fishing rods and each were casting them as if they were casting into a body if water. However, as you might have guessed, the lines cast out went no further than the church walls although some made it out the church windows. In the natural if anyone walked into a church and saw what I described above they’d high tail it out of there thinking the people were crazy.

You can’t fish from the inside of a church building or any building for that matter. In order to have any hopes of catching Any Fish, i.e., souls, one needs to be out in his/her rowboat in and among the sea of humanity where they, like those they hope to catch for the Lord, are exposed and not insulated as they would be in a building, especially the building called church, from the elements.

Remember that the great commission commanded us to ,”go and tell”, making disciples and teaching them to obey the teachings of Christ so that they in turn could go fishing, fully equipped, which, by the way, is the purpose of the 5 fold ministry, making disciples and teaching them to follow Christ’s commands.

That is precisely the mindset, mostly with the older generation at my church. God is calling us out into the harvest field and it is RIPE, from my observation. And even when church members are out in the rowboat, they simply feed the fish but don’t reel them in. I caught one the other day, Praise God!

  2. How sad is that! May God have mercy on us, laodicean church. This is exactly what happens in my church and many others! They do the meetings especially for the unsaved and hope that the unsaved will come because we will invite them, we the members, will bring our families and friends. How sad is that, all the meetings are filled with church members as of course, no drug addict, no drunkard, no prostitute, not even a man who is not interested in God will ever come to such meetings. So they are preaching to believers about salvation! I don’t understand that older generation, they are people of Ravenhill, Wilkerson’s times but none of them is doing anything to reach the unsaved from the outside, they are fishing in the church. It’s quite shocking how you were shown what is going on. So much could be done and so little is going on. How I wish I could open a new church and do things the way the Lord commanded us to do.
