Are You Fighting With Both Hands?
After having a dream about never putting down your sword I had a subsequent dream that I feel is very much related. In the dream I had 10/02/2016 I was in once again a room holding a sword only this time I was chained to a wall with a large black chain that only had several links in it meaning that I could not move very far from the wall. One’s mobility is severely limited being chained this closely to a wall and it becomes extremely hard to fight. One can put on, while holding onto their sword, the helmet of salvation, the belt of truth, their feet shod with the preparation of the gospel, and finally they can take up the shield of faith to quench the fiery darts shot from the enemy. However, it would be nearly impossible to put on or take up any other piece of the armor being chained to a wall with only several links in the chain. It could be done, however, in order to do so, one would have to put down one’s sword, and, if you read my dream I had the day before this one, then you would know that this would be a huge mistake as you would be dropping your only offensive weapon.
The wall and chain in my dream represent hurts, offensives, and the past that have not been forgiven, healed and let go of. They could also represent things of the world that one is attached to or relationships that one needs to let go of and hence have become hindrances in being able to battle effectively. In order to be effective in battle you need to have both hands free. One for the Sword and one for putting on all the other pieces of the armor and finally holding the shield of faith.
