One Loaf One Body
17 Since there is one bread, we who are many are one body; for we all partake of the one bread.
I happened to attend a traditional church this past Sunday because my grandsons are attending Sunday school class there. The service was the same…i.e., staring at the backs of people’s heads, clapping your hands to some carefully chosen worship songs accompanied with a light show, and finally came the Sunday morning lecture. At the end of the service, just before dismissing us, we had what they called communion. After the little cups of grape juice were passed out and the cracker that went along with it; the Lord spoke the following to me:
This is representative of how fragmented my body is. This is why I opened the post with the quote from 1st Corinthians.
We have come so far from what the first century church called fellowship to what is now accepted as fellowship.
