Pocket Jesus or Lord Jesus?
The vision I am posting below I had in September of 2011.
I had a vision on September 21, 2011. In the vision I saw the United States starting at the east coast. What I saw was a thick black fog and it was rolling in over the ocean and blanketing the country, as I said before, it began at the east coast and moved across the entire united states. The thing that I know about fog is that usually when the sun comes out the fog dissipates, however, this fog blotted out the sun’s light. Next I saw beams of light punching through the fog extending heavenward; these were intercessors praying for America . I believe that the Lord is issuing a call to prayer to believers
The reason I re-post this vision is because I have had a subsequent vision on 03/13/2014 similar to this one. In this vision I saw a map of the united states. It was as if each sate was illuminated on the map somehow. Then I heard what I will call a giant switch being turned off and then I would see a state once illuminated become dark. All that remained on the map is a silhouette of the state. This happened one by one. I would hear the sound of a switch go off and then another state would go dark. This process kept on repeating, it seemed that there was no end to it.
At this point you may be thinking how did he come up with the post title of “pocket Jesus”. I was reminded of a vision that I had many years ago. In this vision I saw a man from the back only and only from the neck down. I never saw his face. As I watched him go throughout his day I would see him take this little figure out of his pocket and then put it back in his pocket. It seemed that the figurine was his good luck charm. He would remove it from his pocket, hold it in his hand, and then put it back in his pocket when he no longer needed its help.
As you may or may not have guessed, the figurine was Jesus. He used Jesus only when he needed Him. The rest of the time he kept Him in his pocket. This, unfortunately, is an example of many of our prayer lives and also our walk with God. We serve Jesus as the “god” of convenience, our convenience, and not as the Lord God who he really is.
In the first vision the darkness was penetrated by the lights of prayer and the same holds true, I believe, for the second vision. This is no ordinary prayer. This is a sustained crying out to the Lord for a nation that has forsaken their Lord. It is a cry that will come from a unified body of believers. It is a cry that will come from a people who see Jesus for who He is. Lord and Savior. It is a cry that must come from a people who recognize Jesus not only as Savior but as Lord.
In the Word, the more something is repeated, the more important it is. With that said, in the Bible, the word, “savior” is repeated 36 times from cover to cover. While the word, “lord” is repeated 7836 times from cover to cover. Which then do you think is more important to the Lord?
