Whom Are You Worshiping ?
I came across a vision I had in August of 2011. I felt it was profound and am posting it to my blog.
When Jesus engaged the Samaritan woman at the well in John chapter4, their talk eventually led to the subject of worship.
Jesus said to her, Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you shall neither worship the Father in this mountain nor yet at Jerusalem.
But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to worship Him. God is a spirit, and they who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.
So I would say that from this dialogue, so far, it would see that the “how” is more important than the “where” when it comes to worship because it is the “how” that the Lord is looking for.
Then we have the verse in between these 2 verses upon which this post is predicated upon.
You worship what you do not know(perceive), we know (perceive)what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews.
Here is the vision from 2011.
I was standing beside Jesus and He was knocking at the door of a church and no one would let Him in. I could see inside the church and people were worshiping and the people seemed to be engaged, but Jesus wasn’t there.
If it is not Jesus that they were worshiping, then just whom or what is it that they were worshiping.
If acceptable worship to God is to perceive whom it is you are worshiping, then it would seem that in this vision that God was not being worshiped at all. Perhaps it was just the concept or idea of God that was being worshiped and not the actual person.
Scary thoughts in any event to not even know whom you are worshiping.
