Wheat and Tares
Matthew 13:24-25, 27-30 AMP
Another parable He set forth before them, saying, The
kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while he was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed also
darnel (weeds resembling wheat) among the wheat, and went on his way. And the servants of the owner came to him and said, Sir, did
you not sow good seed in your field? Then how does it have darnel shoots in
it? He replied to them, An enemy has done this. The servants
said to him, Then do you want us to go and weed them out? But he said, No, lest in gathering the wild wheat (weeds
resembling wheat), you root up the [true] wheat along with it. Let them grow together until the harvest; and at harvest
time I will say to the reapers, Gather the darnel first and bind it in bundles to be
burned, but gather the wheat into my granary.
I had a vision for the past 2 days. In the vision I saw a field full of people much like the wheat field described above. The people in the field were the wheat . Then I saw people come up literally out of the ground right beside the people (the wheat) that were in the field. They looked almost identical to the people who I first saw when the vision began. The servants of God here must rely on the eyes of the Lord to help them distinguish between the wheat and the tares. As the days grow darker, and the return of the Lord draws near, the deception will become more subtle. Remember, it was the servants of the man who sowed the good seed that recognized the lookalikes sewn into the wheat field. It is just as is described in the parable above the lookalikes were right beside the real deal and to wipe them out would risk also wiping out the wheat.
